Founded in 2004 by Antonia Messina, the group performs around the tri-State area in places as diverse as theaters and cafes to school performances, festivals, museums and even the Bronx Zoo.

Arturo Martinez- (guitarist) has played with all the major New York flamenco groups for many years, infusing each performance with a richness and subtlety based on his love of music and istrumentation from many countries around the world.
Gisel Assi- (dancer, singer) has performed with Viva Flamenco for many years and presently teaches her own classes in New York City as well as choreographs for the Alborado Dance Theater, New Jersey.

Marc Ferranti- (sax and flute), came to flamenco through his marriage to director Antonia Messina. Since beginning performing with her in the late 80's, he developed a love of the music and a deep understanding of "compas" which he incorporates in performances of his own band the Bossa5, specializing in the mesmerizing music of Antonio Carlos Jobim.
